Our Story

Where it all began...

Veganut was started by a qualified Nutritionist in 2017 who decided it was time to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle to benefit their health and the environment. This meant leaving behind the beloved whey protein (the digestive issues, not so much) and switching to plant-based protein. After trying brand after brand, they couldn't find one that they truly loved. Determined to find a plant-based protein powder that tasted good without any of the unnecessary ingredients, they set out on a mission to create their own.

Our mission...

Proudly owned and operated in New Zealand, we are determined to provide plant-based products that are good for you, good for the earth, and taste delicious. We wanted to make sure that choosing vegan no longer feels like missing out. Our plant-based protein powders are formulated with minimal ingredients, for maximum taste. 

One of our core values is good for the environment. With this in mind, our packaging is completely biodegradable and we have removed the plastic scoops. It's so easy to measure with your own spoon at home! 

We also take part in the DHL Go Green Solutions initiative, an environmental protection program with a global target of zero emissions by 2050. You can find out more about the DHL Go Green initiative here. 

Our products...

Our plant-based protein powders are 100% vegan, natural, gluten free, soy free, and GMO free. Minimal ingredients, maximum taste. The current Veganut family includes three different flavours: Vanilla, Chocolate, and Salted Caramel. Each are a blend of premium quality pea and brown rice protein, with all of the ingredients sustainably sourced and minimally processed (check out our ingredients page to find out what they are). They're simple, they're natural, and they're delicious.

Today...

Today, Veganut is owned by a qualified Food Technologist, ready to pursue the mission of providing tasty, plant-based products. And let us tell you... protein powder is just the beginning! We can't wait to share with you our new and exciting products to come.
